Olaf Siegert, product manager of EconStor, explains: “We notice that more and more institutions contact us in order to disseminate their publications in Open Access through EconStor. The fact that we are a publicly-funded institution without commercial interests works in our favour, as it means we meet the ideal of a digital information infrastructure in the context of Open Science.”
This is confirmed by Professor Jutta Allmendinger, president of the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB): “For more than 10 years now, our close cooperation with the ZBW has been characterised by Open Access. With EconStor, the ZBW ensures that our (and others’) research findings are findable and freely accessible, and provides an invaluable service for science and society.”
